SAP Business One Audit Logs for Compliance and Auditing

Audit logs are important for companies to monitor data and keep track of potential security breaches or internal misuses of information.

SAP Business One provides the following features for tracking important information and audit logs.

    • Change Log
    • Access Log
    • Log information to check which users are login to SAP Business One.

Change Log

SAP Business One keeps the changes done to Master Data and Documents in history tables and these changes can be viewed from Change Log.

To access Change Log, open the required Master Data or Document window, locate to the required record and choose Tools menu > Change Log.

In addition to that, the system can provide differences of the instances if you select required instances and click “Show Differences”.

Access Log

The Access Log window displays the access details of SAP Business One users who have logged on to SAP and logged off from SAP.

Go to Tools menu > Access Log.

 

Log information to check which users are logged in to SAP Business One

Go to Administration > Utilities > Connect Clients to view the users who are logged in to SAP Business One.

You can select the connected clients to –

    • Send Message: To send internal SAP message to selected user(s).
    • Disconnect: To disconnect selected user(s) from SAP.

 

Inecom Change Log Add-on

If you wish to have more comprehensive report, you can consider Inecom Change Log Add-on.

Inecom Change Log Audit Report will show high level view of Change Logs in a consolidated report. The report can provide high level information such as which user has created which BP on which date, which user has updated which item on which date, etc. When the auditor needs to see the detail changes, audit can drill down to particular BP/Item and view from the SAP Change Log.
